Subject: Troop 75 Meeting Thursday Night CUMC 7-815PM
Last weekend we had a great trip to Rhinebeck NY. The group consisting of three scouts and three adults, camped at Ferncliff Forest preserve which had a nice campsite next to a lake and quiet surroundings.
During the day Troop 75 went on hike to the fire tower at the preserve and in the afternoon went to the Rhinebeck Aerodrome to watch vintage airplanes take part in a aerobatic flying demonstration.
The group had a great weekend.
This week we have our regular meeting where the younger scouts will work on rank requirements and the older scouts will work on merit badges.
Two scouts ( E Kimball and A Rogers) signed up for a board of review in support of rank advancement (BOR takes place on 21 Oct). You must complete your Scoutmaster Conference to sign up for a BOR.
Next week scouts will finish work on rank and continue work on merit badges.
Scouts are asked to plan meetings for the local Cub Scout Webelos and Arrow of Lights to participate in a Troop meeting.
On 28 Oct Troop 75 will hold a court of honor to recognize scouts for their achievements.
Service Project: Scouting for Food takes place on 30 Oct, need all scouts to signup, as we expect many food donations.
Next Trip: Winnebago Scout Reservation 19-21 Nov.
Please sign up.
Yours in Scouting,
Scoutmaster, Troop 75
